Temperatures have been rising here in Boston – summer is here! As much as I love warm weather and being in the sun, wearing makeup in the heat can be a drag. Today I’m sharing a light and glowy base combo that feels weightless while still covering imperfections.
Erborian is a unique brand, combining the best of 2 very different skincare worlds: Korea and France. K-beauty, a skincare trend I’m slowly delving into, is all about traditional ingredients that stand the test of time. French skincare utilizes modern technology and brings a sense of luxury to an everyday practice.
Erborian kindly gifted me three of their products, just in time to test for summer. In conjunction with my typical skincare routine, these products are perfect for getting just the right amount of coverage with a healthy glow.
Summer-ready skin starts with good skincare! Especially in the heat, I love to use a non-stripping, quick cleanser just to remove dirt and oil in the AM. The Erborian Cleansing Water* is awesome – it neither dries out my skin nor leaves a film. It feels very refreshing when I use it, perfect for the heat.

I could swear I hear a chorus of angels singing whenever I put this illuminating primer on. It has a pearly finish and reflects light so beautifully for radiant skin. Other glowy primers can enhance skin texture or dry out my skin, but this one makes my skin smooth and feels hydrating.
I wouldn’t say this helps make my makeup last forever, but it just makes my skin look better. Naturally healthy.

I love light coverage, especially in the summer. There’s nothing worse than wearing a full-coverage foundation and feeling like your face is literally melting off.
The Erborian CC Creme starts off as a white cream, and then blends flawlessly into your skin color. It feels so lightweight, with a barely-there coverage that lets my natural skin peek through. Just enough to coverage up my uneven skin tone/redness. I use the shade Light, which might be ever-so-slightly too warm in the winter, but it’s perfect now.
