I recently hauled several items from a brand I came across on Instagram: LunatiCK Cosmetic Labs. The packaging is so cute, plus the brand is cruelty-free and vegan. The two palettes that are currently available are Hocus Pocus and Supernatural, and today I’ll review the Supernatural palette.
The Supernatural palette is shaped like a coffin with a Oujia board theme on the outside. The packaging is decent quality cardboard, and there is a tiny mirror shaped like a bat. It contains 5 shades: Invocation, Myth, Spook, Reincarnation, and Ghoulight.
Invocation is the only truly shimmery shade. Spook is more of a satin, but it does catch light a little bit. Myth is a true matte, and Reincarnation and Ghoulight are satin-mattes.
This palette performs incredibly well. There is a bit of powder kick-up when I dip a brush into the shadows, but they are all very pigmented and blend easily. The look I created lasted all day (>12 hours). I had put Invocation (the shimmery shade) on my lid, and it did move a little bit after about 4 hours.
The palette retails at $35, for 5 shadows weighing 1.5 g (0.053 oz) each. For reference, MAC shadows are smaller at 1.3 g each.
I am very impressed with this palette! I love the novelty of the packaging, but the shadows are of excellent quality as well, which makes it even better to me.
