|Kat Von D Brushes, Setting Powder, Concealers|
Kat Von D’s beauty line is one of my favorites. Her products are high-quality in a reasonable price range. As a bonus for the beauty collector, Kat’s gorgeous artwork and creative designs are featured through her products. She had a big release recently, launching several base products and brushes.
Of these new releases, I wanted to share my reviews of the Lock-It Concealer Cremes*, Lock-It Setting Powder*, Lock-It Setting Powder Brush*, Lock-It Edge Concealer Brush*, and the Lock-It Edge Foundation Brush.
Lock-It Concealer Creme*
I couldn’t quite contain my excitement about this concealer formula, as I featured it in my Ride or Die Tag post (post removed) and August Favorites video (video no longer available). This concealer comes in wand form with a doe-foot applicator. A little bit goes a long way, as the concealer is thick and fuller coverage. Despite the thick consistency, it blends very easily without disturbing coverage. It does require setting to prevent creasing. It lasts alllll day.
I have Light 3 Warm and Light 5 Neutral, and they both work well for my fair skin. I usually use the warmer shade under my eyes to counteract darkness, and the neutral shade on the outer part of my eye and to cover blemishes. In the winter, I may need to check out some lighter shades. Kat has a ton of shades for this concealer though, so I think most will have a match (or two).

Lock-It Setting Powder*
This is also a new favorite, though I wasn’t sure until recently. This powder is in loose form, but the star shaped holes dispensing the product help prevent too much product from coming out. It is a soft white with little hints of shimmer, though it goes on the skin clear. I’m not positive that it would work for dark skin tones though.

This powder really locks in foundation and concealer. I use the lightest dusting, though I have no issues of it caking up. Recently, I set my face with this powder and later ran around outside for an hour. My face makeup didn’t budge. I don’t intentionally wear makeup before exercise, but it’s good to know this setting powder locks in my makeup when I’m at my sweatiest.

Lock-It Setting Powder Brush*
I really enjoy this brush, but I feel like it could have been slightly better. The tapered shape is useful for both the undereye area and the entire face. However, the brush doesn’t maintain its shape well and is a little bit floppy, so it can be tedious to powder the whole face. It’s a very soft brush and picks up product lightly and disperses evenly.
In my video unboxing the majority of these items (video no longer available), I noticed a few hairs come out of this brush. Since that time, I washed the brush several times and used it almost every single day. I’ve only noticed one more hair shed.

Lock-It Edge Concealer Brush*
This is a wonderful concealer brush for the eye area, plus other parts of the face. The pointed shape is perfect for getting into tight spots, like the inner eye area or around the nose. The flat sides can cover large areas with ease. The bristles are packed densely so product is dispersed evenly with minimal lines. I still like to use a damp beautyblender to clean up edges, but I don’t really need to.

Lock-It Edge Foundation Brush
After using and loving the concealer brush, I purchased the foundation brush. For every reason that I love the concealer brush, I love this brush. It applies product so beautifully without wasting or overloading product. I’m generally a die-hard beautyblender girl, but this foundation brush gets those hard spots around my nose so well that this is my current go-to foundation applicator.

Kat Von D beauty very rarely disappoints me. All of these products have made way into my regular routine.
