HASK is easily one of my most favorite affordable haircare brands. I previously reviewed their charcoal line and was beyond thrilled with the quality. I’m back with another new favorite from HASK: the Chia Seed Oil Volumizing line. This line is made for my hair type: oily roots and lifeless strands. It’s incredibly challenging to find hair products that can thoroughly cleanse my hair without over-drying my ends. HASK products consistently give me balanced, healthy-looking hair.

Here’s what HASK has to say about the title ingredient, chia seed oil:

“Introducing the HASK Chia Seed Oil collection, which features a Shampoo and Conditioner that are formulated with HydraBoost to help enhance and enrich your strands every time you suds up. Cultivated in South America, the tiny seeds of the chia plant are fortified with proteins, antioxidants, calcium and nutrients like omega-3s to boost shine, increase volume and lock-in moisture without weighing hair down.”

Sulfate-free hair products are important to me with my color-treated hair. As per usual with HASK products, they do not include sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, alcohol, or artificial colors.

The Chia Seed Oil Shampoo* is a thick, pearly white liquid that lathers surprisingly well. I don’t feel any excess residue as it rinses out; my hair feels clean, but not dried out.

The Chia Seed Oil Conditioner* is a white cream, but isn’t overly thick. It disperses easily through my hair, coating each strand well. This conditioner washes out effortlessly to leave soft, non-frizzy hair.

This duo works beautifully in tandem to clean my oily roots while still nourishing my hair. I’ve noticed less breakage using these, plus my hair feels very soft. In terms of volume, I notice my hair seems even fuller after I blow-dry, either a full dry or a partial dry. When I air dry, I don’t really see much of a difference.

I love this shampoo and conditioner for daily care. HASK doesn’t use ingredients that compromise color and overall hair health while still being completely affordable. The Chia Seed Oil shampoo and conditioner are available for just $5.99 each at the HASK site or Ulta.
