This new year has been quite busy, especially at work. I haven’t been much into blogging or even social media because I come home so exhausted. Hopefully things will calm down soon and I’ll have more time for my hobbies.
One of the biggest things I had to look forward to during this stressful time was my XL Lucky Bag that I ordered from Beautylish. The Lucky Bag is a yearly offering from Beautylish around the New Year, a mystery bag filled with items they carry. This year, they offered the regular bag for $75 (with minimum value of $150), plus an XL bag for $150 (with minimum value of $300).
I heard there were only 1000 XL bags, and early access was given to those who had spent at least $1000 at Beautylish in the past year. I was a bit shocked to get the early access email. I didn’t realize I had spent that much there. *hangs head in shame* Of course, I ordered the XL bag.
The bags ship ground from the west coast, so I received my bag later than a lot of others and was able to see a lot of spoilers. I really loved everything I saw in the bags, so I was extra excited to receive my bag. Last year, I wasn’t entirely pleased with my bag. I have a post about it. It was a great bag, but not a great bag for me – see my original post if you’re curious.
Onto what I received:
Bioderma Sensibio H2O
I am a huge fan of Bioderma. It’s my favorite micellar water, and I love to use it in the morning instead of a traditional cleanser. Most bags ended up with a bottle of this water, as they did last year, but I have no complaints!

Charlotte Tilbury x Norman Parkinson Dreamy Glow Highlighter
I skipped the Norman Parkinson collection last summer, and always wondered about it. Seeing the compact in person and double-checking the review by Christine from Temptalia, I was thrilled to get this in my bag. I think it will be a beautiful, subtle highlight. The outer packaging makes it a lovely piece to have in my collection as well.

Clean Apothecary Brush Shampoo
Maybe this isn’t the most exciting item to receive, but I’m sure happy to get a staple like brush cleaner! Mine is in the grapefruit scent, which is light and energizing. I like that this cleanser has nice natural ingredients that won’t be damaging to my brushes.

Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel
I’ve never tried anything from Inglot before, so I’m very excited to try their famed eyeliner in 77. I tend to struggle with every eyeliner except for the Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen, so I hope I can step up my game with this one!

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro Powder
This is the product that sits most on the fence for me. With my dry skin, I don’t feel the need to powder very much. My friend Melissa tried this powder after receiving it in her bag, and told me it was quite matte, and she’d like to save it for the summer when she is very oily. I’m crossing my fingers it will work for me, but I won’t be heartbroken if this item is a loss.

Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 28
After seeing previews of other XL bags, I was fairly certain I’d end up with a Natasha Denona palette. I already owned the Purple-Blue (review here), so I was over the moon to receive the Green-Brown palette! Honestly, I cried when I saw it. It’s so stunning, and this palette on its own costs more than I paid for the entire bag. I cannot wait to dig into this palette, as I love Natasha Denona shadows so much.

Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo
I also saw a lot of bags contained Oribe minis, and I was thrilled to get one as well! I love Oribe, but it’s quite pricy. The scent of their products is divine. I hadn’t tried the dry shampoo yet, so I am really looking forward to using this.

Wayne Goss Brush 08
This is the only product I already own. I thought about trying to trade a friend, but I really love this brush already, so I think it will be nice to have another. It is very small and precise, perfect for getting close to the lash line. With an extra, I might try to use it for brows.
→Available at Beautylish, retail value $17
The grand total value of my bag was $403.90. I really couldn’t be happier with the bag I received! I think Beautylish totally slayed this year. I can’t wait for next year! 😜
