Fresh Beauty has cult status when it comes to lip care. Their Sugar Lip Treatments* have been go-to products of mine for years. Now, they have a ton of shades to protect lips and give a hint of color for the quintessential summer look. Plus, the Fresh Sugar Lip Polish* and Perfecting Wand* prep lips for the perfect pout.
Sugar Lip Treatments
These lip balms have various oils and sugar to moisturize lips and help prevent loss of moisture. Grapeseed polyphenols smooth and soften lips, while chemical sunscreens Avobenzone and Octinoxate provide SPF 15 protection.
The treatments feel amazing on my lips. I have the shades Bloom, Honey, Nude, and Rosé, and they’re all perfect for just that touch of color of a sunny summer day. Swatches included near the end of this post 🙂
When I need more intense lip care, I go for the Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment*. This guy doesn’t have room for SPF with all of its oils and antioxidants to protect and deeply nourish lips. Perfect for prepping lips before a liquid lipstick because it’s sheer and super comforting.
I have to say I didn’t really like the packaging of these lip balms at first. The top twists on, so there’s a little bit of effort involved to make sure they’re open/closed. That being said, I’ve come to really enjoy this extra effort now, as the caps don’t randomly come off in my bag to make a mess.
Sugar Lip Treatment Perfecting Wand
This multitasking treatment smooths and softens while leaving lips with a glow. The wand itself is responsible for buffing lips, and it feels like a little massage.
I love how gentle but effective this wand is. The product is glossy without being sticky, and it looks very pretty on its own. However, being a gloss, it’s not the easiest to layer other products over it without waiting or blotting.
Sugar Lip Polish
When I need a bit more of a heavy-duty exfoliation, I turn to the Lip Polish. It does an amazing job of prepping and smoothing lips. As a physical exfoliator, I let the sugar do the work without scrubbing my lips.
It has a bit of a sweet taste to it (uh, there’s sugar in there), which I enjoy. It can be hard to get all of the little granules off my lips, which is why I do prefer stick-type exfoliators like the Dior Lip Scrub (reviewed previously). This Fresh one is a bit more hardcore, so I reach for it when my lips need serious haaalp.
