I absolutely love MAC lipsticks. Their color range is insanely huge, and they’re always releasing new, trendy shades. MAC sent me 8 of the 18 new Metallic Lipsticks that are set to release today, June 22. There are a ton of fun colors, from bold to surprisingly wearable. I’ve put these lipsticks to the test, and of course I’m not disappointed!
Anything Once* – blackened blue with multi-colored pearl
This one is the patchiest of the bunch, but I think it will be beautiful with a proper base. It’s not a color I’d really reach for because it’s high-maintenance and not my style.
Hades Fire* – cool red burgundy
This burgundy screams fall to me. It’s not too dark, and has just the right amount of shimmer to make it stand out.
Ionized Iris* – bright fucshia with multi-color pearl
One of my favorites – a (not too) bright cool pink that is perfect for a night out.
Jupiter* – bronzed neutral
I like this shade a lot more than I thought I would. It has good coverage on my lips and has beautiful shine.
Metalwork* – pale beige with golden shimmer
Metalwork is more of a lip topper because it doesn’t have opaque coverage. It’s a tad warm/golden for me, but I think it would be really pretty on so many people.
Pearly One* – confetti’ed white frost
I actually would wear this super frosty shade on its own. It just looks like a barely-there gloss that reflects light. Pearly One is also a gorgeous lip topper that I’ve paired over neutrals for some extra oomph.
Rose-dipped* – midtone pink with gold and silver shimmer
Of course this one is my favorite. It’s super flattering and perfect for everyday, like a slightly darker version of MAC Angel.
Silver Spoon* – multidimensional silver
Silver Spoon pulls a bit lavender on me (I think due to my lips peeking through). I would really love to try it over a black or dark blue lipstick, but I don’t think I’ll wear this one very often.
I have no issues applying any of these lipsticks. They have just that right amount of slip and feel very comfortable. The lighter shades are not very long-lasting, but the medium to dark shades have decent staying power (around 4 hours). Anything Once applies kind of patchy (expected for a dark blue shade), but all of the others are smoothly pigmented.

I made a video trying on all of these metallic lipsticks. ↓
These new MAC Metallic Lipsticks are so fun! I believe they’re limited, but I’ll update if I hear otherwise. My personal picks are Rose-dipped, Ionized Iris, and Hades Fire. Which shade(s) do you have your eye on?
