Lip color can show the world what your attitude is. The shade of the day evokes a feeling and tells a personal story. It’s a way to express yourself.
Patricia Hartmann (you remember that gorgeous, iconic supermodel from the 90’s?) founded her brand Runway Rogue with the mission to use your lip color to show your attitude. Her products are designed with hydrating oils and antioxidants in an array of shades and finishes for every mood. I love that there is a description for each shade and the mood associated with it on the site.
I have a representative from each of her formulas to review today. I also have a code to save 15% off your Runway Rogue order: JELLYBEAN 🙂
Before there was Kylie Jenner and her famous lips, there was the 90’s. How about a throwback with shade Head Over Heels*? I am loving this deep brownish mauve shade. It’s a matte formula, but it feels so comfortable on my lips. It applies so easily because it’s creamy and pigmented. I love shades like this because they really pop against my fair skin without looking too bold or purposeful. Like effortlessly cool.
The packaging is very hefty and luxe with a magnetic closure. The kind of lipstick that travels perfectly in my bag.
I am a sucker for a light pink lip gloss, but Bride in Show* is so much more than that. It’s very pearly and shiny, but has a bit of a shift to it. It’s gorgeous on its own, or layered over a lipstick for an extra oomph. It’s a bit thicker of a gloss and can be kind of sticky (not more than most glosses), but it’s very comfortable to wear. I apply this one to the center of my lips over a pinky nude to fake full lips.
Honestly, I almost exclusively use my (previously reviewed) Dior Addict Ultra-Glosses, but I’ve been reaching for this gloss a ton lately.
The shade I have, Strut*, is a beautiful bold berry – think MAC’s iconic shade Rebel. Hands down, this is one of the creamiest lip pencils I’ve ever used. It just glides so effortlessly. I was a bit worried that it would move or transfer since it was so creamy, but it stays put all day and doesn’t move around. It wasn’t at all uncomfortable, plus I had color on my lips for a good 8 hours. This is a real star!
