Pixi x Aspyn Ovard Glow-y Powder in Rome Rose ReviewNot very often do I find myself in love with a product from the drugstore. However, the Pixi + Aspyn Ovard Glow-y Powder in Rome Rose* very quickly became a favorite of mine and I. Can’t. Put. It. Down.

Swatches + Comparisons

The color is gorrrrgeous. It has a slightly cool pink base with golden flecks of shimmer. The perfect all-in-one natural flush + radiant glow.

I instantly thought of NARS Orgasm and Becca Flowerchild when I first wore Pixi’s blush. Both are favorites of mine as well, stunning pinks with golden shimmer. Flowerchild is darker with far less shimmer – not as close as I thought. In comparison to Rome Rose, Orgasm is a peachier pink with slightly less shimmer. They look very similar on the cheeks!

Rome Rose is a bit on the light side, so I think it will be best as a blush for those with fair to light-medium skin tones. On deeper skin tones, it would be a gorgeous highlighter or blush topper.

This blush/highlighter hybrid (I use it as a blush) is super silky smooth. It picks up easily on a brush and glides effortlessly on my cheeks, depositing a decent amount of color without being too much. I use two layers to get the amount of color (and shine) I want. I do get a little bit of powder kick-up when I dip my brush in, but nothing too severe. I notice no fallout from the shimmer.

I definitely recommend checking out Pixi + Aspyn Ovard’s Glow-y Powder in Rome Rose! It’s so flattering. Plus, it’s a reasonable dupe for NARS Orgasm at a drugstore price. Rome Rose costs $16 for 0.36 oz vs. Orgasm, which costs $30 for 0.16 oz.
