My go-to lipstick shade is a nude. Don’t get me wrong, I am a fan of color too, but I just love the ease of throwing on the perfect nude shade that goes with any look.
When MAC released it’s collaboration with Nicki Minaj + unveiled 18 nude lipsticks & 6 nude glosses, I was so excited. I picked up both of Nicki’s lipsticks, a gloss, and another lipstick. MAC ended up sending me a handful of the shades as well. All shades are limited edition, unless otherwise noted below.
Of the 18 nude lipsticks, I have 7:
Age/Sex/Location* – dirty midtone nude, matte
Baby’s All Right – cool toned neutral pink, matte
Bare Bling* – light peachy nude, amplified
Easy Babe* – dirty latte brown, matte
Mmmmmm* – dirty rose nude, amplified
Stripped* – light, dirty peachy beige, matte
The Right Note* – warm sandy nude, cremesheen
The other shades are:
2N – creamy light pink, lustre
A Girl’s Got Needs – warm-toned yellow brown, matte
Among the Fireflies – soft mocha, cremesheen
Bosom Friend – sheer pinky nude with fine pearl, cremesheen
Crème D’Nude – pale muted peach beige, cremesheen (permanent)
Derrière – dirty midtone yellow brown, matte
Gossamer Wing – dirty beige with gold pearl, lustre
Japanese Maple – frosted light beige, cremesheen (permanent)
Patisserie – sheer creamy neutral pink, lustre (permanent)
Playing Koi – pale clean pink nude, satin
Pretty Please – pale pink pearl, lustre (permanent)
I’ve also included the Nicki Minaj lipsticks (Nicki’s Nude and The Pink Print) in my swatches below, but you can check out my original review for comparisons of the 2 to a few lipsticks from the permanent line.
My favorites are Baby’s All Right, Mmmmmm, and Age/Sex/Location – the cooler toned lipsticks, go figure 🙂 Any of the shades work for me though. With the lighter shades, I love to pair a sheer gloss on top. Alternatively, I’ll put a slightly darker lip liner down before to deepen the shades a bit.
Of the 6 nude Lipglasses, I have 2:
N-U-D-E* – sheer pinky nude
Under the Sheets – light nude with gold pearl
The other shades are:
Beaux – warm brown (permanent)
Please Me – muted rosy tinted pink
Spice – midtonal neutral nude (permanent)
Spite – muted plum-taupe brown (permanent)
Under the Sheets is gorgeous, especially over Stripped or Bare Bling. N-U-D-E is described as a pinky nude, but it’s more peachy. Still, it’s the most perfect nude lip gloss. Like ever. I’m obsessed!
Obviously I can’t resist a good nude, especially from MAC. Which shade(s) do you have your eye on? ↓
