My go-to lately is the “no-makeup makeup look.” I enjoy easy makeup that makes me look put together without trying. I’ve had limited time in the morning to get ready this winter, especially when I need to shovel the driveway or de-ice the car before work.
So now, I have found a quick routine that helps me achieve my desired look. It’s like I’m not even trying. Because I’m not.
No-makeup Makeup Routine
Priming my face is must. It helps smooth my skin and make my makeup last longer. I love the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40* because it’s a fantastic SPF that also works as a primer. It smooths my skin with a weightless feel and invisible finish.
From there, I use one of my old favorites: the Guerlain Baby Glow Foundation. I use the lightest shade, Clair, which has sort of peachy tones in it to brighten my skin. I love the light-medium coverage and softly radiant finish. I wish they’d come out with more shades in this range though!
I end up skipping concealer a lot, but if I do use it, I reach for the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer for under my eyes. It is weightless with good coverage and wears well through the day. Can’t go wrong with this concealer!
For my cheeks, I use my favorite multi-tasker: LXMI Goddess Glow*. This is a rose gold highlighter with Nilotica skincare benefits. On my fair skin, this works as an illuminating blush. A little goes a long way, and I just apply with my fingers. I’m so in love! BTW: you can save 30% on your LXMI order with non-affiliate code DIORANDJELYLBEANS 🙂
With my winter dry skin, I don’t really need to set my makeup much. Instead, I dust a bit of Guerlain Meteorites to lightly set and finish.
Onto eyes: I loooove the MAC x Patrick Starrr quad in Glam AF*! It’s the perfect everyday, neutral quad. The shadows apply so easily and blend to perfection. I can apply it quickly with zero effort. I was super impressed with the entire MAC x Patrick Starrr collection, but I definitely reach for this quad the most.
I follow with a little mascara (using Urban Decay Troublemaker right now) and swipe a bit of Glossier Boy Brow to finish up my eyes. Troublemaker isn’t my favorite mascara – it’s pretty subtle, but works for a no-makeup makeup look.
I end up switching up my lips a lot. Typically, I reach for a lip balm with a hint of color, like the Dior Addict Lip Glows or the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments*. I recently talked about the new Dior Lip Glows, and I am absolutely loving them. I keep a few of the Fresh balms around at all times, from my desk at work to my purse. Nude is my go-to lately; it is a beautiful, hydrating nude for my lips!
