Happy Valentine’s Day!
To celebrate, I thought I’d talk about the gift I love the most: roses. The smell, the look, the luxury – I just love roses.
No, I’m not talking about flowers. My obsession is rose beauty products ♥
I’m sharing a dozen roses in my collection, from newbies I want to test to old favorites.
A dozen roses
Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil – I have a little sample of this and I’ve been loving it. It’s lightweight and hydrating. My favorite way to use it right now is to mix it with my foundation or BB cream. It helps prevent my foundation from cracking or breaking up with my dry skin. The sample has been lasting very well because I only use 1 drop, but I think I’ll have to buy the full size.
Byredo Burning Rose Candle – I’ve burned this candle exactly once, and it was the most wonderful experience. It really smells like roses, but not in a fake way. The scent filled the whole living room. The burn time is very long on this one (~5 hours before creating an even pool), which is why I haven’t really gotten around to burning it again.
Dior Crème de Rose Lip Balm – I’ve repurchased this a few times. I love the light rose scent and it feels very nice and hydrating on my lips. However, I think lately it seems like it has been causing some dryness? I’m not sure if I’m reacting to something or if it just isn’t enough for the winter.
Diptyque Roses Candle – I haven’t actually burned this one yet, but the scent without burning is lovely. This candle is small, so the length of burn time is no excuse! I have to suck it up and burn it.
Fresh Rose Face Mask – I go back and forth on this one. I love how it feels on my skin – light, refreshing, and hydrating. However, I’m not entirely sure, but I think there may be something I react negatively to in this one. With so many other products to test, I haven’t quite had a chance to go back to this one.
Kypris Beauty Elixir I (1,000 Roses)* – I’ve raved about this before here. I love everything about this oil. It smells divine and it really improves my skin. It’s incredibly expensive. I’ve only been using 2 drops or so each use and it’s not disappearing very fast, which is nice.
MAC Fix+ Rose* – Fix+ is one of my favorite mists to use when I’m wearing makeup because it really diminishes a powdery look. I love the rose scent – it’s light and rosy without being too much in my face.
Milani Rose Powder Blush – These are so cute! I really like the soft rosy colors of many of the shades too. Pretty good, especially for a drugstore blush, though I like the formula of their Baked Blushes more.
Oneoseven Rose Vinegar Water* – This mist is so lovely. It’s light, refreshing, brightening, and hydrating. In addition to rose water, it also has amino acids.
Ouai Rose Hair & Body Oil – I like this a lot. It has a very subtle scent, but I like that for when I’m just out of the shower. It’s pretty good on my hair, though I have to be careful to not apply too much to avoid it weighing my hair down. More often, I use this on my body before a thicker body cream to add an extra layer of hydration.
Pixi Rose Flash Balm* – This is a new one to my collection that I am excited to try. It says it can be used as a primer, moisturizer, or mask to instantly brighten skin. Sounds good!
Rosalena Rock & Rose – The oil that got me into oils. It’s brightening and moisturizing, perfect for a nighttime treat for my dry skin.
