The successful collaboration between MAC and Patrick Starrr around holiday 2017 has led to a follow-up for spring 2018!
There are 2 face sets launching today online April 16 and in-stores April 19. Today I’m sharing my thoughts on the Me So Fleek set*Me So Fleek set*.
Me So Fleek
What it is: Patrick Starrr is back to make your beauty dreams blossom with his new floral-inspired MAC full face kits. This collection is all you need for fresh-picked, vibrant springtime looks.
The box the set comes in screams pink, floral happiness. Inside, there are 4 pieces: a lipstick, lip glass, eyeshadow quad, and blush duo.
The other set is called Me So Chic, and contains the same 4 items, except in different shades.
Shades + Swatches
Lipstick: Hey, Boy, Hey! – dirty pinkish plum (retro matte)
Lip Glass: Queen P – neon pink with blue pearl
Eyeshadow quad: Play With Me
In Living Pink – pinky coral with gold shimmer (frost)
All’s Rosy – dirty mid-tone pink (matte)
Hickie – bright pink with shimmer (frost)
In the Shadows – vibrant dark blue with shimmer (frost)
Blush duo: Take Me Home – soft coral pink (satin) / muted pink plum (matte)
This set is a really great value at $49.50 for 4 full-size items!
Hey, Boy, Hey! – I do enjoy the retro matte formula, but I think I’d prefer a less intensely matte finish for this shade. It’s very pretty though and adds a nice boldness to a look.
Queen P – The lip glass has very complex shimmer and it’s super beautiful. Lately I’ve been reaching for the Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine glosses, so the MAC lip glasses feel extra thick on my lips right now in comparison. I love how it looks on though, and I much prefer MAC’s vanilla scent to the minty Urban Decay.
Play With Me – I wasn’t sold on this quad by just looking at it, but it’s actually really well-coordinated. All’s Rosy and In Living Pink are great everyday shades, while Hickie and In the Shadows are vibrant pops of color that perform quite well.
Take Me Home – The shades look quite muted in the pan, but they are very pigmented. I use a very soft hand in order to get a subtle application. The blushes blend well though, so they’re useful for any level of intensity. Very pretty for spring!
