The Beauty Crop Travel Tea Face Palettes ReviewCruelty-free brand The Beauty Crop just dropped two new face palettes designed to be the perfect summer travel companions. I’ve previously reviewed their Girl Gang Matte Liquid Lipstick Set*. I was very impressed with their liquid lipstick formula and loved the girl power theme.

Today I’m sharing my review of their new Travel Tea Face Palettes*!

Travel Tea Face Palettes

The two palettes, inspired by favorite travel spots, are called Mediterranean Spring and Moroccan Sun. Each palette contains 8 shades in 4 different finishes, enriched with antioxidant green tea for radiant skin.

Mediterranean Spring is more geared to lighter skin tones, while Moroccan Sun is for darker skin tones.

Formula

The powders are really silky and soft! They’re pigmented as well; all of the swatches above were with one swipe. They pick up well on a brush and deposit evenly on skin. On top of easy application, these blend well if desired and do not look too powdery on skin. I’m very impressed with how long these wear too! I don’t notice fading through the day – maybe after 8-10 hours if I’m looking carefully.

The creams are a surprise. They feel balmy, but in a good way. They show up really well on cheekbones and reflect light beautifully. These also last all day, even without being set with powder, which was a surprise to me.

The Beauty Crop Travel Tea Face Palette in Moroccan Sun

Generally I’m not the biggest fan of creams and powders within the same palette. The main issue I have with this is when powders kick-up and get into the cream. Some of the powders do produce some kick-up (like the blushes), but I haven’t noticed a ton of powder in the creams at this point.

Thoughts

Of course, the Mediterranean Spring palette is my pick since I have fair skin. I love all of the shades, though I wouldn’t reach for the chromatic pearl shade Capri as much since it is more of an “unnatural” highlight with blue tones. I’m in love with the bronzer because it’s not orange on me.

Moroccan Sun works quite well for me too though if I use a lighter hand. The shades are beautiful for a bronze glow. The chromatic pearl Casablanca pulls a little green, so I’m not crazy about that one, but I love to use the regular highlighters in Tangier and Atlas.

These are great travel palettes, but mainly if you’re the kind of person who needs a different highlighter for each mood. I think I’d have liked to see another blush shade instead of 6 highlighters. The Beauty Crop Travel Tea Face Palettes Review

I’d also be a little timid about bringing these on a trip because my original Mediterranean Spring palette came shattered. The Beauty Crop very kindly sent me a replacement, which arrived completely in tact. I’m not sure if my mailman was a bit lazy the first time, but I’d recommend carefully wrapping the palette for travel. However, I’d recommend carefully wrapping most makeup for travel – who knows how bad your luggage is being man-handled at an airport?!

Overall, I think the price is quite good for these palettes! The holographic pink packaging is very cute and feels right for the price range. I’ve been really happy using these palettes!
