*whispers* 2018 is more than halfway over.
But let’s keep things positive instead of me panicking about how quickly this year is going. Nothing is better than talking about beauty favorites!
I found a few new makeup loves this past month, as well as some skincare staples.
Onto my June beauty favorites!
Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb*
$38/1.68 oz | Available at Sephora
My current nighttime moisturizer. My skin is normal/dry right now. This moisturizer is super nourishing without feeling too heavy. My skin is soft and hydrated when I wake up in the morning.
Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Sunshine Serum*
$36/1 oz | Available at Sephora
I won’t say too much about this bronzing serum because I just posted a full review of it, but I’m obsessed. It makes my skin so glowy and healthy!
Drunk Elephant Umbra Sheer SPF 30*
$34/3 oz | Available at Sephora
This mineral sunscreen honestly isn’t my favorite on its own. It leaves a white cast and feels a little drying. However, it has earned a spot in my faves mainly because D-Bronzi helps this SPF apply and look so much better.
Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Oil*
$72/1 oz | Available at Sephora
I’m extra into oils right now (I have a total of 3 in my faves this month). Drunk Elephant’s marula oil is one of the most lightweight oils I have, so it’s perfect in the summer. I often add this into a moisturizer or foundation for some extra hydration through the day.
Herbivore Botanicals Orchid Oil*
$64/1.7 oz | Available at Sephora
I love everything about Orchid. It’s lightweight, absorbs well, and smells so good. I thought it was honeysuckle, but it’s actually jasmine oil that gives this its heavenly smell. Orchid is perfect for the AM – I mix it with moisturizer or SPF to ensure my skin is hydrated through the day.
Herbivore Botanicals Phoenix Oil*
$88/1.7 oz | Available at Sephora
Okay, but I also love everything about Phoenix. This oil is rich and soothing (geared toward dry/sensitive skin), without feeling overly oily on my skin. I love to mix Phoenix with the belif Moisturizing Bomb at night for super protective moisture.
UO SPF30 Continuous Spray Sunscreen*
$10/5.5 oz | Available at Urban Outfitters
I didn’t really have high expectations for this susncreen mist, but it’s amazing. The mister is fine and sprays evenly – so easy to use. I am obsessed with the scent though! It’s like a tropical, coconut smell that makes me feel like I’m at a beach. I’m definitely purchasing this myself once I finish this one.
Glossier Cloud Paint in Dusk
$18/0.33 oz | Available at Glossier (click here to save 10% on your first order)
This is my go-to blush right now. The shade Dusk is a beautiful nude that gives my skin a hint of warmth. Easy and effortless. I picked up the two new Cloud Paint blushes in June, but I’m still testing those before I add them to my Cloud Paint review.
Glossier Haloscope in Quartz
$22/0.19 oz | Available at Glossier (click here to save 10% on your first order)
I mentioned my love for this Haloscope in my post about cream highlighters. I directly swipe it on my cheeks for an almost sweaty-looking glow. Btw, Quartz + Dusk is the perfect pair.
MAC x Aaliyah Eyeshadow Palette*
$32/0.18 oz | Available at Ulta
I’ve been reaching for this palette a ton. It’s surprisingly versatile, allowing me to do a quick look for day and transition easily to night. I love the cool colors too – see my MAC x Aaliyah collection review for swatches.
MAC x Patrick Starrr Powder*
$34/0.35 oz | Available at Ulta
I’ve been crazy about the whole MAC x Patrick Starrr summer collection, but this highlighting powder is a stand-out. It’s creamy, not powdery, and looks flawless on skin.
MAC Prep + Prime 24-hour Extend Eye Base
$23/0.4 oz | Available at Ulta
I don’t even remember why I bought this eye primer, but I’m so glad I did! It’s amazing, maybe even passing my old favorite from NARS. It comes out of the tube kind of like a thick balm, but softens upon application for a smoothing, hydrating base. It grips eyeshadow beautifully for all-day wear.
NARS Orgasm Afterglow Lip Balm
$28/0.1 oz | Available at Sephora
NARS’ famous peachy-pink blush is now a lip balm. And a must-have in my bag. It’s hydrating and comfortable to wear with the perfect shine. It doesn’t last much more than a couple of hours, but it’s more of a minimal makeup item. If you like Dior Addict Lip Glows, I think you’d be a fan of this too!
Urban Decay Backtalk Palette*
$46/0.38 oz | Available at Sephora
I didn’t exactly recommend this palette in my review, mainly because I think the price is a bit high, but this honestly hasn’t left my vanity since I got it. I barely have to think when I use this palette; the looks I get are always put-together but effortless.
