Happy New Year! It’s hard to believe 2018 is over. It was a busy year for me and I’m glad to move on. I’m heading into the new year with as much positivity as I can manage though.
To celebrate the new year, I’m sharing a few of my beauty favorites from 2018.
Hourglass Caution Mascara – Best mascara of the year by far. I was gifted my first tube but purchased the one I’m currently using because it’s that good.
Hourglass 1.5mm Mechanical Gel Eye Liner – Zero tugging, zero pulling. This creates the most fluid line. Hands down, the best pencil liner I’ve ever used.
Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Shadows – These have such an elegant shimmer and really enhance a look. Super pretty.
NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer – This concealer is insanely good. No creasing, easy to blend, great coverage. I use shade Vanilla (Light 2).
NARS Orgasm Afterglow Lip Balm – Perfect everyday balm for hydration and a bit of pretty peachy-pink color.
NARS Highlighting Powder – A job well-done by NARS when they redid their highlighter formula. These are truly beautiful and give that “lit from within” sort of glow, as opposed to being stripy.
Pat McGrath Labs LUST: Lip Glosses – I’m a gloss girl in general, but these make me even more excited to wear gloss. Not sticky, just pretty.
Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray – I forgot to include this in photos, but I never forget to use it at the end of my makeup routine. It honestly works. My makeup stays put all day and just looks better.
AmorePacific Vintage Single Extract Essence* – Texture-wise, this is not too thick, but not too runny. I love the shot of hydration + boost of glow it gives my skin. I am so pained that it’s so expensive because I really want to repurchase.
belif True Cream Moisturizing Bomb – Super moisturizing and soothing, but absorbs well; skin feels soft and hydrated. Pretty much perfect. I don’t really want to try anything else when my skin is so happy.
Herbivore Oils in Orchid* and Phoenix* – I reach for these daily. AM for Orchid because it’s lightweight and hydrating (and smells AMAZING). PM for Phoenix because it’s a little heavier with deeper hydration. Neither are sticky or too oily.
LXMI Pure Nilotica Melt* – Only one ingredient (100% Nilotica Reserve), but it’s a powerhouse. I use this as an overnight mask to protect and soothe my skin. Skin looks really greasy after application, but I wake up with my skin feeling reset.
Byredo Bal d’Afrique – I didn’t realize this was my signature scent until I got a compliment from someone at work. She asked me what I always wear because it smells so good. I realized it’s Bal d’Afrique – every. single. day.
Diptyque Baies candle – I am obsessed with this candle. It’s delightful and fruity and just brightens my mood.
