Pixi Beauty has added a few new eyeshadow palettes to their lineup. The Eye Reflections shadows are supposed to be “incredibly rich in pigment and payoff.” Each palette has 12 shades (0.048 oz each), retailing at $24.

Shades + Swatches
I was immediately drawn to this palette with its rosy hues. There are a few different finishes in this one, making it a versatile palette for a variety of neutral looks. The finish of each shade is not clear on their site, so I’ll do my best to describe each.
Sheer Sand – sheer matte beige
Metal Mauve – metallic champagne beige
Petal – shimmery golden pearl
Antique Rose – shimmery golden peach
Rose Clay – matte warm pinky nude
Metallic Rose – metallic rose gold
Deep Taupe – matte cool medium brown
Foiled Bronze – metallic bronze
Soft Brown – matte warm medium brown
Chocolate Brown – matte dark brown
Cocoa Shimmer – matte dark brown with gold sparkles
Bronze Gleam – shimmery dark warm brown
The colors in this palette are really well-coordinated. Most shades are very good – silky smooth, pigmented, and blendable. The metallic shade Metal Mauve became a little crumbly after I used it, but it still looks beautiful on. Longevity is on par with high-end brands; I notice some fading around 6-8 hours. I do wish there was a little bit more of a distinction among some of the darker brown shades, as they all look a bit similar on the eyes. Still, I’ve been using this palette a lot for everyday looks and loving it!
Shades + Swatches
All shades have a shimmery or metallic finish. I’m not sure where the distinction is intended with these as they all pack a pretty punch.
Vanilla Glitz – shimmery golden pearl
Nude Lustre – warm beige shimmer
Gold Foil – shimmery medium yellow gold
Pink Lustre – metallic pinkish pearl
Vintage Gold – shimmery warm golden taupe
Brilliant Bronze – warm bronze metallic
3D Peach – metallic medium peach
Auburn Blaze – reddish copper shimmer
Copper Penny – coppery brown shimmer
Antique Bronze – shimmery warm bronze
Chestnut Glimmer – bright coppery gold shimmer
Cocoa Glaze – deep brown with warm shimmer
These shimmery shades are super pretty on and give any look beautiful dimension. They’re soft and pigmented, but blend out easily if desired. Though the quality is great, I’m not sold on this one for two reasons. First, the lack of mattes makes this a hard sell for daily use for me. I would need to pull out another palette in order to complete most looks. Second, the shade range is a bit one-note. There are too many warm copper/bronze shades and they all look identical on me. Of course, my super cool skin tone doesn’t help. Still, these shades could easily be duped, so I don’t think it’s worth it for most people.
Overall, Pixi Beauty has a really great eyeshadow formula. I prefer the Natural Beauty palette, which offers a well-coordinated color scheme set for a variety of looks all-in-one.
